72 Courtyard revamped nearly its entire outfit this January, rolling out a host of new venues like
Feral and Chenin Pi Shop, and
Katsu, while reimagining others like
BEAM. Another to add to that list is
Kenji Ramen Lab, the latest concept from Chef Kenji Nakayama, known for his long-running Kenji’s Lab in Thonglor.
Occupying a ground floor spot just in front of Chenin Pi Shop, the venue focuses on ramen (obviously) and izakaya classics with the same creative twists that Kenji’s Lab originally became famous for.
The menu leans heavily umami-rich ramen bowls that still keep bright, punchy flavors and an ingredient-forward focus, including the signature hand-dripped bonito shoyu ramen (B350) and seafood-heavy options like shrimp bisque ramen (B480) and the hotate butter ramen (B650), featuring scallops in a silky broth. For meat lovers, go for the wagyu pako men (B950) or the beef tongue spicy miso ramen (B520).

Beyond ramen, the kitchen churns out a lineup of izakaya-inspired dishes to round out the experience. Small plates like pork karaage with mala ponzu sauce (B280), fried pork and shrimp wantan (B80), and oden (B220) are a great side piece to a steaming bowl of ramen during lunch, while the dinner menu expands to a handful of cold plates like delicately seared scallops with pickled plum sauce (B280), tender octopus with yam potato (B250), and madai sashimi spring rolls (B250). There’s also a full drinks menu with everything from Japanese sours and plum wines to sake—there’s also lunch-only deals like the B160 small Sapporo draught.
Diners can also grab a free three-piece shoyu wantan with any ramen bowl ordered during lunch service from 11:30am to 5pm on weekends. For those looking to slurp at home, you can grab the food here via Lineman delivery.
