It’s not every day the French staple updates its menu of classics, so this is big news.

For the first time in almost a decade, Café Claire at Oriental Residence Bangkok has freshened up its menu offerings, brimming with new experiences inspired by French bistro classics and locally sourced ingredients. This comes on the heels of a new executive chef, Remi Verrier, who brings years of experience from the world’s leading and Michelin-starred restaurants.

New highlights include sauteed frog legs with garlic puree, slow-cooked beef brisket, baked tomato filled with homemade pork, vegan options like beetroot risotto, and many more. Their dessert game is also strong, as you would expect, with French-style treats like tarts made with local vanilla pods and baked Alaska.

Café Claire at Oriental Residence Bangkok, Wireless Rd., Lumphini, 02-125-9000. Open daily 6am-10pm
