It has already been an insane year for live music in Bangkok with the likes Green Day, Maroon 5, and Kylie Minogue. Well, good news because it gets even better. We've got Guns n' Roses, Mariah Carey, and Tyler, The Creator to come. Check out the latest list of concerts and events coming up at a concert hall, live music venue, or bar near you. This year, Subculture is coming with the Future Sound of Egypt for a two-day trance and EDM event. While some of the details have been announced, we’re still waiting on details for this mega-event.
From Apr 10-16, IconSiam is going all out for Songkran. With a long list of performers and events for a whole week, Thaiconic will be awash in decorated pagodas, concerts, and fashion. You’ll find big K-pop acts, local favorites, and Thailand’s darling Milli. Be sure to check out their list of events to make sure you don’t miss anything. More info here.
Taking place at RCA, the three-day pass tickets are already sold out for this event, but four-day passes are still available. It’s going to be one of the biggest, wettest parties for the biggest holiday of the year. They recently announced their phase one lineup with the likes of Steve Aoki, B2B, and Dmitri Vegas. Yifeng Li returns for a one-night show in April at Impact Arena. The Chinese actor and singer first burst onto the scene with a reality music show win in 2007, and has been drawing fans ever since. More info here.
Okay, look. There are a lot of music festivals competing for your attention this Songkran. But the one be-there-or-be-square event is the three-day S2O Music Festival. It’s always the place to be seen and get wet for Songkran. With insane visuals, international talent like BJones and Marshmello, and what might be the biggest festival water fight, this is the one to beat. More info here.
As part of her The Secret of Us tour, Gracie Abrams will be gracing Samyan Mitrtown Hall for a show, the tail end of the show after hitting Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Taipei. Tickets here.
This South Korean all-girl punk band will be playing Bangkok’s spot for hard music, Immortal Bar, with a lineup that includes Kharo Sho, Chaos of Society, The Diehards, The Greed, Outside In, and Unwreck. More info here.
The tunes of one of the world’s most recognizable bands gets a makeover courtesy of the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra at the Thai Cultural Center. Expect Swedish pop group hits like Super Trouper, Dancing Queen, Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!, Take A Chance on Me, Mamma Mia!, Fernando, and plenty more. More info here.
GOT7 is back for another go on the Bangkok stage, this time at Rajamangala National Stadium. The South Korean boy band supergroup comes from the kingmakers at JYP Entertainment and has been making hits for more than a decade. More info here.
Coming to you from Coventry in the 1980s, Attrition will perform their first ever Bangkok show this May at Speakerbox. Speakerbox is one of the best live music venues in the city and they are known for bringing the fringe acts this city needs. More info here.
Marion Raven and Marit Larsen are coming to Bangkok from Norway and will be putting on a one-night concert performing their greatest hits in May. This is a blast from the past, with this duo cranking out hits in the early 2000s. Tickets here.
J-hope is back in Bangkok at Impact Arena for a two night show from May 10-11.The K-pop heartthrob didn’t think one night was enough for his Bangkok fans. Just between us, this show has been sold out for awhile but there’s still a chance on the waiting list. More info here.
Guns n’ Roses announced that they will be returning to Bangkok for a one-night concert at Thunderdome Stadium on May 13. This is pretty short notice for fans of the iconic 90s rock band—with their last Bangkok show announced four months before the concert—and pre-sale will begin on Mar 25. With Axl Rose, Duff McKagan, and Slash, Guns n’ Roses defined the nineties rock scene, a band that somehow defied the standards of hair bands and metal to create sounds and hits that redefined “rockstar” status. This South Korean rock band under JYP Entertainment's Studio J will be taking on the Bangkok stage this May 17 for a one-night show, first hitting the scene about half a decade ago with “Happy Death Day”. More info here.
So, there’s a lot of K-pop, T-pop, and Western bands on this list, but this one’s for the local rock scene. Expect Blackhead, Big Ass, Silly Fools, Tattoo Color, and more. This one-day event headbangs its way into Impact Arena on May 25. More info here.
Coming to us via Japan, The Novembers are known for their shoegazing gothic rock, and this May they’ll be playing Blueprint Livehouse, a finalist at this year’s BAD Awards for Best Live Music venue. More info here.
The gals are in town for a one-night Bangkok show as part of their very first world tour. This hot-off-the-press K-pop girl group debuted last year and have been burning up the charts and the streams since. More info here.
Another event for the lovers of local Thai artists, YOLO Fest will feature Tattoo Color, Polycat, Scrubb, The Toys, Safeplanet, Pun, Dept, Whal and Dolph, Meyou, and more for a one-day festival event at Paragon Hall. More info here.
The famous smooth tunes man is back in Bangkok for a one night show at Union Hall on July 4. With decades of cache and awards, the star has sold 75 million albums and garnered more than 1.5 billion streams. More info here.
The Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer will be crooning in Bangkok with his hits like “24/7, 365” for a one-night only event at Samyan Mitrtown Hall. He’s got an unforgettable voice and is an unstoppable live music act. More info here.
The Asian leg of Tyler, The Creator’s Chromakopia Tour will bring him to Bangkok later this year at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani on Sep 16. The Billboard No.1 premier Chromakopia—which garnered 212.55 million official streams in its first week—dropped in October of last year and has been hailed as not only a triumph for the artist, but an advance of the genre, written, produced, and arranged by Tyler, The Creator. Coming to Bangkok to hit those high notes, the diva will be performing at Impact Challenger Hall on Oct 11 for one night. She’s a singer-songwriter, record producer, and actress with dozens of awards under her belt, and she’s hitting up Bangkok right before she needs to start singing that godforsaken Christmas song. While no official details have been announced for this event yet, the dates and location are confirmed. BK expects the first round of acts to be announced for the festival any day now, but take it with a grain of salt as a few of the acts didn't show last year, including the final day's headliner. They’ve played for more than three decades and now it seems they’re hanging it up—for now. Mew, the Danish alternative rock band from Copenhagen, formed in 1995 and have been churning out hits ever since. More info here.
The tickets may be a little confusing, but this is one of the biggest events on Thailand's event calendar and they’re expected to return for 2025. However, no details have been released as yet regarding the launch of this festival.
