Pa-neang pizzas rub shoulders with Italian classics like spicy carbonara all in one spot.

The team behind Chenin brings their mix of laid-back energy and comfort Italian cooking to 72 Courtyard. Unlike its older sibling in Asoke, Pi Shop leans a bit more into the nightlife setting with slightly more playful dishes and a bar program that’s all about keeping things casual and fun, which makes sense considering that is largely the M/O of 72 Courtyard as a whole. The menu here focuses on house-made pizzas and pastas, tilting classic across the board but with fun and cheeky twists down local pathways.

Pizza wise, some highlights to watch are The Rocket Man (B480), which layers San Marzano tomatoes, fior di latte (basically soft, fresh mozzarella), parma ham, rocket salad, balsamic, and sun-dried tomato for a creamy, sweet, and slightly acidic mix. Meanwhile the Pa‑Neang Chicky (B320) leans on classic Thai ingredients and sauces with a pa-neang base, sous vide chicken, pickled shallots, and kaffir lime leaves . You can also mix and match pizzas with a half-and-half option (B480).

On the pasta front, things stay sharp and spicy. The “spicy carbonara noodle” (B480) adds spring onion and chili to the Roman staple, while the squid arrabbiata (B280) brings heat with San Marzano and garlic. For snacks, expect bar-friendly bites like the spicy “togarashi corn” (B180), “Shoemaker’s Chicken” in lemon sauce (B160), and a shishamo plate served with arrabbiata dip (B180).

The drink list keeps things relaxed, with a short but thoughtful wine selection alongside playful options like slushy Negronis and Margaritas (B290) made with a machine behind the bar counter.

The space itself is compact and stripped back, marked by its signature red light glow and low communal tables. The venue feels unpretentious, late-night friendly, and with enough in the food-and-drink tank to have lasting appeal.
