ART: Paradise for the Blind

A collection of artworks made from shredded (and whole) censored books that artist Sutthirat Supaparinya has gathered and studied. All the books used have either been censored or banned in various countries around Asia, including Chit Phumisak’s The Real Face of Thai Feudalism, Pramoedya Ananta Toer’s All That Is Gone and Noam Chomsky’s Year 501: The Conquest Continues.

FILM SCREENINGS: A Night of Italian Cinema - Le Meraviglie (The Wonders)

The independent casual cinema screens the 2014 comedy/drama film by Alice Rorhwacher, following the journey of Gelsomina, whose father has left her as the heir of the kingdom he created to protect her and her younger sisters from the end of the world.

THEATER: Suriyothai

The Opera Siam Ballet International dancing troupe presents an opera and ballet performance retelling the popular tale of Queen Suriyothai and her battle with the Burmese invasion in 16th century Siam.

THEATER: Kon Rak Mime Festival

An international theater festival dedicated to mime, featuring some of the best performers in the industry from Germany, Japan and Thailand, including Milan Sladek, Kita Kyoichi and Paitoon Laisakul. They'll be collaborating over the nine days in this
unique set of performances that combines humor, technique and emotion.

ART: A View from the Edge

David Longstreath has spent 45 years as a photographer for the Associated Press, capturing some of history’s most significant moments and now he brings a highlight reel of his career for this solo exhibition. Expect documentations of real, tragic events
ranging from the Asian Tsunami to the first Gulf War in a collection of powerful and emotional photographs.
