The acts are still a mystery, and people are starting to talk.

Rolling Loud Thailand is the biggest hip-hop festival in Asia, previously featuring the hottest names in hip-hop—from A$AP Rocky to Cardi B—as well as local acts playing the biggest stage of their career. It’s set to kick off again this Nov 14-16.

So, where the hell is everyone?

The debut Rolling Loud Thailand in 2023 announced headline acts five months prior to the event in December 2022. Similarly, the next year’s festival announced headliners in June 2024—again, around five months away from the festival.

But, here we are in 2025, and no one knows who is coming to Rolling Loud Thailand 2025 a little over two months away. No set list, not a single headliner, has been announced.

BK reached Rolling Loud earlier this week regarding the status of the festival but the organizers would not comment on the record regarding the festival’s status as of publication.

Now, there are many reasons this might be happening. Perhaps it’s just marketing. Perhaps they’re still trying to nail down headliners. Perhaps they’re considering a change of venue. But, as fans have been speculating, there’s another explanation: It’s canceled or delayed.

Needless to say, those who have already bought tickets are wary. The Rolling Loud Thailand official Instagram is awash with people demanding to see the line up, and others are speculating that the decision has already been made to cancel or delay.

“I bought tickets, airplanes, hotels. I think it's a responsibility to reply. If you want to cancel, I will ask for a refund,” writes one social media user. “If your (sic) cancelling this year just announce it already and refund us,” writes another. These comments are on the tagged announcement for the festival in February, the last meaningful update on the festival’s status.

Other publications have reported hearing whispers of a date change for Thailand. However, all of this is speculation. India’s first Rolling Loud in Mumbai is scheduled for later in November, and the headliners for that event are also unknown at this time. Rolling Loud, India, however, are putting up regular social media updates and promotions. Rolling Loud Thailand is not.

BK has no knowledge that the festival will be cancelled. However, of the more unseemly conspiracies made on social media, worried fans are accusing them of a possible rugpull. There is no evidence this is the case, but the silence isn’t helping.

On Facebook, the festival hasn’t made an update since April, on Instagram, July.

This isn’t the first time for headliner drama at Rolling Loud Thailand. Last year saw both Tyla and Playboi Carti pull out at the very last minute. In the case of Playboi Carti, it was on the day he was supposed to headline, leading the crowd to shout “Fuck Carti” during earlier sets.

Rolling Loud Thailand, while popular, hasn’t necessarily been a boon for the organizers. The 2023 festival, lauded by fans and organized by More Money Entertainment, was a reported loss for the organizers. Last year’s festival was followed by payment disputes for B20 million in wages that ended in scandal and police reports.

Despite this, confidence hasn’t waned. The announcement of the second Rolling Loud Thailand took time, but the third was announced before the second was even over, blasted on jumbotrons as festivalgoers exited. Early unofficial announcements suggested the venue would change, but the promotional material and tickets for Rolling Loud are still being sold for the same location, Legend Siam outside of Pattaya.

While both previous versions of the festival have been an unqualified success for fans, there have been plenty of complaints about the venue: the size, the distance between stages, the concrete grounds, the parking, and the half hour walk it takes to actually get to the festival from the entry.

A lot of hopeful festival goers are just plain angry that the headliners still haven’t been announced, and they have a fair reason to be, as Rolling Loud clocks in at one of the more expensive festivals. At present, Early Bird VIP tickets are already sold out. While this year is moderately cheaper, this is a big festival for the entire region, attended by people from around Southeast Asia.

Beyond the plane tickets and hotels, many use Rolling Loud Thailand as an excuse to explore Thailand on a broader trip. Even the stars do it, with Fat Joe getting in hot water last year after visiting tigers following his (disappointing) club set at Rolling Loud Thailand 2024.

Thailand is still a music festival powerhouse. Tomorrowland is coming, Wonderfruit is only a few months away, and Creamfields hits in December. In hip-hop, Doja Cat, Tyla, and Sean Paul are all playing soon, and smaller Asia-based acts like Skai Isyourgod and Loco have scheduled shows next month.

Rolling Loud Thailand has made no announcements regarding the headliners but, even if they announce now, it would appear they’ve at list lost a bit of goodwill.
