For a lot of people, there’s only one event going on this weekend, Summer Sonic, one of the biggest concert events of the year. If you’re looking for a little culture, we’ve got classical tunes from the Bangkok Youth Opera and at Siwilai Sound Club. But if you’re more in the mood for the city’s live scene, you’ve got great shows at Jam and Speakerbox. But, if you’re not into tunes, then we’ve got champagne, special dinners, and even a gnocchi workshop. Beyond that, there’s big-act comedy, club nights, and plenty of cocktails.

Cooling Tower’s 5th Anniversary 

One of the hottest rooftop spots in the city is celebrating five years in the Bangkok sky with live music, two hours of free flow, lucky draws, and special Patron cocktails for a big party for this spot’s fifth birthday. More info here, Cooling Tower

Bangkok Youth Opera: W.A. Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro

Over at Subwerk, Mile will be headlining a club night kicking off at 10pm and going late. Expect Eleven Times and Killyx to be opening. This is one of Bangkok’s bigger rave scenes so go looking for a crowd. More info here, Subwerk

Champagne Evening with Champagne Gremillet

If you’re looking to splash out on your Friday night, Viu is having a Mediterranean five-course meal where the star is a champagne pairing with the award-winning Champagne Gremillet, with seatings starting at B5,900 per person. More info here, Viu

Summer Sonic - Aug 23-24

For August, this is the big festival you just can’t miss, with dozens of acts across two stages for two days. The big name headliners, though, need no introduction: The Black Eyed Peas on the first night and the immortal, inimitable Alicia Keys on the next night. The Sexorcist 

Madame Rouge is back at Hemingway’s this weekend, this time with a heretical sexy show with The Sexorcist: The Curse of Labubu, a one night theatrical event with the performances you’ve come to love from Bangkok’s premier burlesque troupe. More info here, Hemingway’s 

Ron Josol Live in Bangkok

Comedy Club Bangkok is bringing Ron Josol to town, a talent you will have seen on Netflix and Comedy Central. For this one night event, the Canadian-Filipino TV comedy veteran will be performing starting at 8pm. More info here, Comedy Club Bangkok

Neon Boat Party
