For a lot of people, there’s only one event going on this weekend, Summer Sonic, one of the biggest concert events of the year. If you’re looking for a little culture, we’ve got classical tunes from the Bangkok Youth Opera and at Siwilai Sound Club. But if you’re more in the mood for the city’s live scene, you’ve got great shows at Jam and Speakerbox. But, if you’re not into tunes, then we’ve got champagne, special dinners, and even a gnocchi workshop. Beyond that, there’s big-act comedy, club nights, and plenty of cocktails.
One of the hottest rooftop spots in the city is celebrating five years in the Bangkok sky with live music, two hours of free flow, lucky draws, and special Patron cocktails for a big party for this spot’s fifth birthday. More info here, Cooling Tower

For August, this is the big festival you just can’t miss, with dozens of acts across two stages for two days. The big name headliners, though, need no introduction: The Black Eyed Peas on the first night and the immortal, inimitable Alicia Keys on the next night.
