It’s finally time for a long weekend again, and we’re ready. There’s plenty of live music to check out this weekend from the house and tech at Culture Cafe to an artsy day of tunes and visuals at Noise House Lat Phrao. For you foodies out there, the big one is the Meatchop and Rivals, but don’t forget to give your Mother’s Day weekend an early start with a four-hand dinner. Let’s get this long weekend started.
It's back to Bar.Yard this weekend, the winner of the BAD Awards Best Rooftop Bar Award for three years running, for a special DJ set from DJ Ali Gerami, who comes to Bangkok via Tehran for a one-night event, all starting at 8pm at a bar with great cocktails and an even better view. This event, held on Aug 7 for one day only is with the city’s beloved Meatchop, which is inviting Chef Mo of Mo Munchies and Batt Tempura along with the local team Chef Kong and Chef Jate for a meaty showdown. It’s a very cerebral night at this live music venue in Lat Phrao. Inspired by the poems of Emily Dickinson, music will come from Karine Barman and Yannick Barman, while Maxime Gianinetti and Jean Morisod will present visual elements and live drawing.
