The misty jungle and carrot cake that are drawing families and the social media crowd.

Some Instagram cafes look better on screen than in person. At the end of December, several new buildings and winding mist-filled pathways were added to Park Sathorn, transforming the grounds into a sprawling, foggy oasis for Instagrammers.

Found on Soi Si Akson, Park Sathorn is the newly opened sister of Baansuan Sathorn Café, which has been open since March 2021. It’s a fairytale setting with a maze of garden trails leading to a mix of indoor and outdoor dining spaces—think misty ponds, hidden waterfalls, tropical birds, wild lizards, and surprisingly good, affordable food.

Although little sister, Baansuan Sathorn gained some attention on TikTok, it never fully entered the mainstream. Between Rama 3 and Rama 4, it's slightly off the typical route for nights out.

With the Park Sathorn expansion, the grounds now feature at least eight distinct indoor spaces suited for private groups of eight to 20, from rustic stone dining rooms and bar lounges to a dramatic grand hall watched over by classical statues of winged fairies riding giant fish. The real showstopper is the outdoor seating. With room for over 100 guests spread across dreamy, mist-cooled courtyards giving eldritch forest vibes.

The menu is evenly split between Thai and Italian. Highlights include the salmon bruschetta (B325), carpaccio, cold cuts, and an excellent caprese salad (B420). The Thai side features a classic Pad Kaprao with pork (B240) and a standout pomelo salad served in a half watermelon (B290).

For seafood lovers, the whole Phuket lobster comes with a choice of chili or tamarind sauce (B2,350). There’s also a strong bakery and coffee game, we enjoyed the Carrot Cake Cheesecake (B285) and the Dirty Chocolate Coffee (B250).

To drink, there's a selection of local craft beers including Chalawan Pale Ale (B260). The Prosciutto di Parma Pizza (B720), centered with a whole burrata and finished with generous slices of prosciutto is a good bet.

Park Sathorn feels extravagant without the hefty price tag. The service is good, with solid food, and a mystical setting under a 100-year-old crabapple tree. It's an Instagram cafe that, for most, should deliver.
