Strength in community key to campaign for female empowerment

Mo beamed as she recounted her experience at the "She Rises" event held at The PARQ in Bangkok. "I love yoga, and there was something for everyone," she enthused.

Mo's experience perfectly encapsulates the spirit of She Rises: a month-long campaign celebrating women's strength, resilience, and achievements while promoting a well-balanced lifestyle.

Organized by The PARQ, a mixed-use development known for its focus on "Life Well Balanced," She Rises aims to empower women across various aspects of life. The campaign offered a diverse range of activities, from insightful talks to invigorating workouts and social gatherings.

Finding Strength Within

The She Rises campaign wasn't just about physical activity. On March 5, a powerful talk, "Women Empower: Unveiling the Strong Women's Minds," set the tone for the event. Silver screen superstar Cris Horwang, of Bangkok Traffic Love Story fame and the co-founder of

circular fashion platform Vienn Groups Co., Ltd., emphasized the importance of self-love as the foundation of confidence.

The panel discussion explored strategies for building resilience, overcoming challenges, and fostering self-assurance.

Experts like Me Center Founder and Medical Director Dr. Apichat Jariyawilas offered practical advice on managing anxieties and developing a strong mentality. Founder and CEO of Vienn Groups Co., Ltd. Wanida Praparat highlighted the importance of overcoming limitations imposed by societal expectations and upbringing — she encouraged women to find their voice and express their ideas without fear. Natasha Soontornvinate, a working mother as well as partner and managing director of Holistic Medical Centre, addressed the challenges of balancing work and family life. Her message resonated with many women, emphasizing the importance of self-care and maintaining a healthy mental state.

Movement and Community

On March 16, the She Rises campaign culminated in a vibrant evening of movement and community. The “Brew Yoga & Swing Dance Party” exemplifies the fun and inclusive atmosphere She Rises aimed to create.

Mo was particularly drawn to the unique combination of Brew Yoga and swing dancing. For Mo, it wasn't just about the physical activity; it was about the sense of fun and community. When asked about the challenges women face in Bangkok, Mo highlighted the importance of self-acceptance and inner strength.

The evening session offered a chance to unwind and connect with other women. The night kicked off with a flea market showcasing healthy food options, wellness services, and activewear brands. After an invigorating Brew Yoga session and a swing dance class, participants enjoyed an after-party with a live DJ, creating a perfect space for socializing and celebrating womanhood.

Mo said she not only had a great workout at the event, she also came out of it feeling fulfilled. She shared, "This kind of event can encourage women to love and be confident in themselves enough to do anything they want to do, all by starting to love themselves first.”

The Legacy of She Rises

The She Rises campaign extends beyond any single event. Throughout March, The PARQ offers special promotions from its beauty and wellness tenants, including Jetts Fitness, Le Glow, and F Rehab, showcasing its commitment to women's well-being.

By creating a platform for inspiration, education, and social connection, She Rises seeks to empower women to embrace a healthy lifestyle, overcome challenges, and achieve their full potential. Whether it's Cris Horwang's message of self-love, Dr. Apichat Jariyawilas's techniques for managing anxiety, or the opportunity to connect with like-minded women at the dance party, She Rises offers a multifaceted approach to women's empowerment that resonates with Mo and countless others.
