Baan Tepa

This restaurant-slash-urban farm has put all its signature dishes on the takeaway train. All are made using seasonal local produce and greens plucked from the restaurant’s organic garden. We like the khao yum (rice salad, B490) made with Sakon Nakhon sticky rice, pan-fried trevally fish from Chumphon, and a jasmine tea leaf dressing. Other takeaway highlights include free-range duck legs confit served with organic rice (B490), and banh mi (B690) with foie gras, housemade bacon, and Sriracha aioli.

2369 Ramkhamhaeng Rd., 098-267-8266. Open Wed-Sat 5-10pm; Sun 10am-3pm

getfresh

Formerly known as Dressed, getfresh has a similar health-focus to its food, but this time combines its super customizable menu options with organic and sustainable produce from small and local producers—some of the vegetables are even grown at the brand’s own farm in Pranburi. The menu ranges from salad, wraps, pasta, and comfort dishes like mushroom frittata (B290), to healthy dishes with some twists like the sea bass fillet served with ratatouille, organic jasberry rice, and green curry sauce (B300).

G/F, Samyan Mitrtown, 944 Rama 4 Rd., 083-979-1712. Open daily 10am-10pm. MRT Sam Yan

Honmono

Honmono kind of feels like a sushi mecca in Bangkok, sflying in a really broad range of fish from Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo every week. During the quarantine, the venue has gone all-in on takeaway and delivery (obviously). There is a buy-one-get-one promotion happening right now. Get two portions of soy sauce grilled eel on top of rice at B450, or two portions of salmon sashimi at B260. Other, more luxurious options, include rock lobster steak (B1,950+). So yeah, go all five-star in your own home, why not?

4/F, Siam Paragon, 991/1 Rama 1 Rd., 02-610-9240. Open daily 10am-9pm. BTS Siam

Khua Kling Pak Sod

A legend in the southern Thai food game, the best of Khua Kling Pak Sod is open for takeaway and delivery. The restaurant is offering a special lunch package during quarantine season—a Thai-style lunch set with rotating dishes for B550/day.  You can also try the regular menu as well, with dishes like khua kling moo sub (stir-fried minced pork with dried spicy curry, B180) will spice up your boring work from home days, as well as the sataw pad kapi goong (stir-fried stink beans and prawns with shrimp paste, B240) which is truly a palate-rouser.

21/32 Sukhumvit Soi 23, 02-259-5189. Open daily 11am-10:30pm. BTS Asok

Exclusively for Citi credit card members:
Get a complimentary pork or chicken khuakling valued THB 180 when spending THB 2,000 or more /sales slip (limit 1 dish /card /sales slip)

Little Donkey

Described as an “international-modern” izakaya, Little Donkey Bangkok does nail the casual look and feel we like, with a nice covered terrace, too. The menu here is an eclectic slate of Asian fusion dreamt up by Top Chef Thailand competitor Steve Doucakis. The all-day brunch menu—available for delivery from 11am onwards—covers hearty dishes like the Little Donkey burger (crusty bread with foie gras and onion filling, B320), and strawberry ricotta toast (B290).

2/F, 72 Courtyard, Sukhumvit Soi 55, 02-392-7790. Open daily 5pm-2am; Sat-Sun 11am-3pm

Mayrai

Le Du's chef Ton and his sommelier brother have joined forces at Mayrai, which focuses on wines and homemade pad Thai inspired by their grandmother’s recipes.  The affordable Mayrai Pad Thai (B79) is made with glass noodles and has a good kick of heat; for something more upscale, you can splash out on the premium Pad Thai Beef Wagyu (B490). Other highlights include deep fried fish sauce marinated pork belly (B69), and khao soi (northern Thai noodles) with Wagyu beef (B390).

22 Maharaj Rd., 081-432-4050. Open Wed-Mon noon-midnight.

Mio Food & Art

Coming from the people behind furniture brand Minotti, this colorful, artsy space channels not only their eye for design but also their love for Italian food.  Anantara Riverside’s former chef, Antonio Facchinetti, has created an approachable, classic Italian menu. Takeaway specials feature tagliatelle with black Angus beef ragout (B340), beetroot ravioli with taleggio cheese and poppy seed butter (B34), and slow cooked beef in anchovies bread sauce (B480).

155 Sukhumvit Soi 53, 02-258-5516. Open Mon-Fri 10:30am-10pm; Sat-Sun 8:30am-10pm. BTS Thong Lo

Ms Maria and Mr Singh

After over two months of teasers, Gaggan Anand’s latest venture opened on Mar 6 in comparatively clandestine style. The menu merges home-style Mexican cooking and Indian curries, with reinventions of Gaggan faves like the papdi chaat (B250/four pcs.)—savory crisps topped with yogurt, chutney and mashed potatoes—as well as his signature local crab curry with long beans (B590). A breakfast menu is also available from 7-11 am, with highlights like the egg benedict mexicana (B290) with free-range poached eggs served with chipotle hollandaise, smashed avocado, and handmade tortilla.

8 Ekkamai Soi 6, 091-698-6688. Open daily 11am-4pm. BTS Ekkamai

Paul

Best known for producing over 140 types of bread, the bakery empire has opened over 400 branches throughout the world without ever letting standards drop. During this self-isolation time, Paul is rolling out a more focused, healthier menu with granola bowls (Greek yoghurt, strawberry coulis, granola, fresh strawberries, B120), sandwiches (like the cajun chicken and butterfly pea bread sandwich, B195), and hearty mains like the salmon en papillote (juicy salmon baked in parchment paper with leek, carrots, cherry tomatoes, and quinoa, B480).
