An interview with Korakrit Arunanondchai, Thai art's shirtless wonder
As part of his acclaimed first solo museum exhibition, the large-scale altar-like installation 2012–2555, Korakrit Arunanondchai, 27, rapped alongside his e-cigarette-smoking Bangkok friends in matching denim outfits at MoMA PS1. On top of his flamboyant rock-star looks, the young US-based artist bleaches and burns denim and uses it as a canvas, body paints, performs and shoots videos—and it’s hard to predict what he will do next.

Democrazy's new play The Comments opens for your feedback
Democrazy Theatre Studio is encouraging you to have your opinions heard, in its latest comedy, The Comments, by Jaturachai Srichanwanpen, running Jul 17 through Aug 4. Drawing on our society’s seeming obsession with social commentary, the play takes a lighthearted look at false truths and their impact through a group of theater performers who won’t leave the stage before hearing the audience’s comments. Jaturachai tells us more.

Leena Jung, the failed gubernatorial candidate taking on General Prayuth

Known for her explosive personality and frequent criticism of politicians and celebrities, former Bangkok governor candidate Leena Jungjunja, aka Leena Jung, 55, is never far from the headlines. Her latest outburst came when a closure order for her HotTV station saw her head down to the Thai Army Club asking to meet General Prayuth Chan-Ocha, just hours before the coup was announced.
