Sakda Sae-Aew, aka Sia Thairath, 62, has made his name on the Thai political scene for his satirical cartoons that have run on page three of the country’s leading newspaper, Thairath, for over two decades. Branded the “red-shirt cartoonist,” he made headlines himself last October when the army summoned him for attitude adjustment due to his work, much of which is critical towards the junta.
